Platform Comparison
Altrogi vs. MetaTrader White Label
The comparison every brokerage owner is already making — done honestly. Where MetaTrader is genuinely strong, we say so. Where a brokerage needs more than a terminal, we show what it takes.
Start With the Right Question
MetaTrader is a terminal. A brokerage is a stack.
MetaTrader earned its reputation. It is a proven trading server with terminals traders recognize, and an EA ecosystem nothing else matches. If the only question were “which terminal?”, this page would be short.
But you are not buying a terminal — you are running a brokerage. That also means a CRM and sales floor, a client portal, KYC, payment rails, an IB portal, and a support desk. With MetaTrader, each of those is a separate vendor with its own contract and its own integration.
The Altrogi Suite ships the whole stack: AltTrade for trading, AltCore for the client portal and payments, AltCRM for sales and back office, and AltOps to run every brand from one install.

A ○ is not a knock — the MetaTrader third-party ecosystem is mature. It is a count of the vendors, contracts, and integrations you will own.

The Honest Gap
MQL Expert Advisors don’t run on AltTrade.
Let’s not bury it. MQL4 and MQL5 Expert Advisors are compiled for MetaTrader, and they do not run on AltTrade. AltTrade has its own built-in algorithmic bots — Grid, Martingale, and Reverse Martingale — but a custom EA a trader has tuned for years is not portable. If your book is built on EAs, the honest advice is simple: keep those traders on MT5.
- MQL4/MQL5 EAs will not run on AltTrade — no converter, no emulation
- AltTrade’s bots are built-in strategies: Grid, Martingale, Reverse Martingale
- EA-heavy books belong on MT5 — and that is a supported setup here, not a compromise
You Don’t Have to Choose
Keep MT5. Add the brokerage around it.
Altrogi integrates MetaTrader 5 through the MT5 Manager Web API. Your MT5 server stays exactly where it is — AltCRM runs your sales floor on top of it, and AltCore gives its clients a modern portal, payments, and KYC.
Offer AltTrade alongside for traders who want a browser-first terminal. MT5 accounts and native accounts live side by side under one brand — one login, one portal, one back office. Migrate accounts if and when you want. Or never.

How coexistence works
- Your MT5 server stays — connected via the Manager Web API
- AltCRM + AltCore run on top: sales floor, portal, payments, KYC
- AltTrade offered alongside, not instead
- MT5 and native accounts side by side under one brand
- Migration is optional — and paced by you
Total Cost, Framed Honestly
Count the contracts, not just the license.
Vendor pricing varies too much for honest math on a marketing page, so we won’t invent numbers. The difference is structural.
The MetaTrader route
- White-label terminal license fees
- A CRM vendor — contract plus integration
- A client portal vendor — contract plus integration
- A KYC vendor — contract plus integration
- Copy trading and other capabilities — per plugin
- A license for each additional brand
The Altrogi route
- One vendor, one contract
- AltTrade, AltCore, AltCRM, and AltOps included
- Copy trading and algorithmic bots built in
- KYC built in, with switchable providers
- Many brands from one install
- Add MT5 via integration if you want it
One stack against a stack of vendors — that is the comparison that decides your operating cost.
Straight Answers
Frequently asked questions.
Can I keep my MT5 server?
Yes. Altrogi integrates MetaTrader 5 through the MT5 Manager Web API, so AltCRM and AltCore run on top of your existing server. MT5 accounts and Altrogi-native accounts live side by side under one brand, and you migrate only if and when you choose to.
Do MQL4/MQL5 Expert Advisors run on AltTrade?
No. MQL Expert Advisors are built for MetaTrader and do not run on AltTrade. AltTrade includes its own built-in algorithmic bots — Grid, Martingale, and Reverse Martingale strategies — but if your traders depend on custom EAs, keep those accounts on MT5. The two platforms run side by side.
How long does migration take?
Provisioning an Altrogi platform takes days, not months. Migration itself has no honest fixed answer — it depends on your book, your traders, and your pace. Because MT5 and native accounts run side by side, there is no forced cutover: move accounts when it makes sense, or keep both indefinitely.
Is AltTrade a MetaTrader clone?
No. AltTrade is its own browser-first terminal — charting, one-click execution, copy trading, and built-in algorithmic bots, installable as a PWA with no download. And it is one part of the Altrogi Suite, which also covers AltCRM, the AltCore client portal, and AltOps multi-brand operations.
Won’t some traders demand MetaTrader?
Some will — MetaTrader familiarity is real, especially among EA users. That is why the integration exists: offer MT5 to the traders who ask for it and AltTrade to those who would rather trade in the browser without a download. One brand, both platforms.
